What is the Essentials Program?

The Essentials Program is a 12- session, focused career change service offered by The Barrett Group.

 

It seamlessly integrates our acclaimed Clarity Program with the most effective elements of our Career Change program, delivering results at an accelerated pace.

 

This program serves as a foundational training course, equipping you with the skills to navigate the job market effectively and excel in interviews and offer negotiations. It emphasizes delivering crucial insights and expert guidance.

 

The 12 one-on-one sessions in The Essentials Program cover the following key areas:

  • Clarity Program (improving self-knowledge and strategic planning)
  • Personal Branding (defining value proposition and enhancing LinkedIn profile)
  • Market Access to Hiring Executives (identifying target industries/companies and leveraging social capital)
  • Preparation for Interviews and Offer Negotiation (practicing responses to tough questions and negotiating offers)

 

What can I expect?

You can expect to receive 12 one-on-one sessions with a Clarity Coach (3) and dedicated Career consultant (9). These sessions cover key topics: The Clarity Program, Personal Branding, Market Access to Hiring Executives, and Preparation for Interviews and Offer Negotiation.

 

The program includes a completed TBG resume and LinkedIn profile, plus templates for a Cover Letter and Recruiter Intro for you to modify. You will have access to The Barrett Group's Client Portal and its resources for six months.

 

This program is best suited for proactive individuals ready to engage directly and quickly apply what they learn. Sessions are scheduled based on your completion of prerequisite reading and work, allowing you to expedite the program if you keep up with the material. The 12 sessions are typically completed within 12-15 weeks if you are doing the work and progressing. Your active agreement and effort are essential for the program and its guarantee.

 

What is generally not included in this Essentials version are extensive custom document writing (beyond the resume and LinkedIn profile), services like the full published market access report process, ongoing resume tweaks, or additional one-on-one meetings specifically for extra interview prep or offer negotiation unless purchased separately as Service Requests. Access to MyInterview Companion is also not included but can be purchased separately.

 

What is the expected timeline of the Essentials Program?

Most clients are expected to complete The Essentials Program, including the Clarity sessions, within approximately 12-15 weeks, provided they are actively engaged and progressing through the program. Clients have access to the Client Portal and program resources for a maximum of 6 months.

What happens after I purchase The Essentials Program?

Once we receive your payment, we will reach out to you to get your relevant information (i.e., your resume). You'll also be assigned a Clarity Coach and receive an invitation into the client portal where you can begin your DISC assessment.

Once Clarity has been completed, you will then be assigned a career change consultant to guide you through the rest of your program.

What happens after I complete the Essentials Program?

Upon completion of the final meeting, you will receive a closing email confirming the program's conclusion.

They will retain access to the Client Portal and its resources until their 6-month agreement term ends.

During this time, you have the option to purchase additional service requests. Those interested in upgrading to the Full Program can notify their consultant, who will facilitate the upgrade.
